Moving Mountains

June 1, 2018

Today, I've decided to include some of my daily reflections in my blogs and let me begin by sharing what struck me most today.

God tells us three things today:

1. FAITH CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS.

Mark 11:22-24 says:

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Faith is believing in things uncertain. Faith is like saying "I do not know what lies ahead, but I know that God is with me, so I'll keep on moving." Faith is managing to stay still through the waves of life because you know you have a God who will fight for you.
Whatever that is, if we just have faith, our prayers will be answered in the best way possible!  If the Lord can move mountains, then He is no less than powerful to remove the obstacles that block your path.  What we can do in a daytime, He can do it in a second.  The only key is to keep the faith.

2. FORGIVE.

Mark 11:25-26 says:
"And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
It is not easy to forgive.  Yet, if we fill ourselves with His love, we can forgive slowly and slowly.  You may not forgive him or her now, but time will always heal.  Do not hold grudge long enough, because you're only hurting yourself more than the person who hurt you.  Forgive (it's up to you to forget or not).  The point is, as long as if we forgive, we will be forgiven too.

3. USE WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU IN GLORIFYING HIM.

Mark 11: 15-17 says:
"On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’

The House of God was turned into a place for selling.  Do you expect Jesus to stay calm about it?  Of course, not, for His house was utilized for the wrong purpose.  It was used by people to satisfy their selfishness.

With this, God tells us to use what He has given for the right purpose: to serve and glorify Him.  Not for our own desires!  If you are good in speaking, then use it to deliver His word, than speaking of things not good at all.  If you are good in writing, then write something relevant.

Stephen Curry, for example, said “I try to use every game as an opportunity to witness. I try to do a little signal every time I make a shot as a way to preach the message in little ways that I can,” Curry told the Christian Post. He then added, “Each game is an opportunity to be on a great stage and be a witness for Christ. When I step on the floor, people should know whom I represent, whom I believe in.”  ssp.ph

He uses his sport to bring glory to His name.  That win or lose, He plays at his best to glorify the source of his strength: God.

I, myself, use social media and this blog site as my podium for speaking about the good in life.  How about you? How do you bring back the glory to His name?

MAY WE ALL BE REMINDED TO HAVE FAITH, TO FORGIVE AND TO BRING BACK GLORY TO GOD.

Radiating sunshine,
